As Blacks in Tech strives to provide support for entrepreneurs, founders, and startups, we invite you to participate in our pitch competition during BITCON2018. This is a great opportunity to share your startup with VCs as well as your peers.
Competition Rules

Interested Pitch Competitors must submit an online application with a copy of their executive summary.

180 seconds maximum, per pitch.

Teams are permitted, with a maximum of 5 participants. Group pitches are still subject to a strict 180 second time-limit. Teams may choose to have one person speak, or try and incorporate all members.

No PowerPoint presentations permitted. Handheld and wearable props and prototypes only.
Preliminary Round

Each startup will be given 3 minutes to pitch their business to an expert panel of judges comprised of investors, executives, thought-leaders, and select members of Blacks in Tech.

Presentations will be followed by 3-5 minutes of Q&A with the panel, with answers expected to be quick and concise.
Final Round

The top three finalist groups will be selected to present during the final round. Each finalist group will be given 5 additional minutes to further pitch their business to the panel, as well as in front of their conference peers.

Winners will be determined by a combination of judges and conference peers in attendance. Awards will be given to the top performing pitches.

Submission Guidelines

Pitch competition is open to conference attendees. Pitch competition entries must be submitted via our online registration form no later than Thursday October 4th, 2018 by 5:00pm EST. Only 1 submittal per team/per person.

Teams will be notified by email no later than Saturday October 6th, 2018 if they are selected to present in front of the panel of judges.
